On Wednesday, the pupils who are involved in the Big Hoot project, were invited to visit Twcross zoo to take part in conservation activities and to obviously see their feathered friends.

The day started off in Kingdom of the apes!

After we ate lunch, it was time to continue our tour around the zoo.

Where are the elephants?
We couldn't believe how tall the giraffes actually were.
The baby elephant was very cute.

The children were very excited when they eventually spotted some real owls.
We looked at the patterns and features on each owl to help us with more ideas to include on our own owlet.
